Vikram "Vik" Phatak is currently Chief Technology Officer at AmbironTrustWave, a leading provider of information security and compliance management solutions to Fortune 2000 businesses and the public sector, where he is responsible for the management and development of the company's technology in support of its unified threat management product line.
Vik created of Lucid Security's groundbreaking "Adaptive Intelligence" technology, and has over 11 years of experience in the Internet Security arena. One of the Information Security industry's foremost thought leaders on vulnerability management and threat protection, Vik studied at UCLA and Temple University.
In 2001 he founded Lucid Security and has guided the design and development of the Company's award winning technology which has been deployed in hundreds of enterprise organizations worldwide. Vik previously served as Global Director of Networks & Security at Teleflex Inc, a publicly-traded Fortune 500 company, and co-founded Intermedia Sciences Group, Inc. in 1995, one of the nations first security consulting firms (acquired in early 1999). A published author of numerous whitepapers and frequent industry speaker, he has delivered presentations at 2006 Homeland Security for Networked Industries, 2006 SATO/RSA, 2005 Information Security Decisions, CSI NetSec 2005, and various other security conferences across the country.
